Psalm 66:1-20
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”[a]
5 Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for mankind!
6 He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
7 He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
8 Praise our God, all peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 he has preserved our lives
and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
and fulfill my vows to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
We serve an awesome God. How great is our God that we choose to serve Him and he never disappoints us with his awesomeness. God is worthy to be praised and we shall praise His Holy Name. God give us joy. Joy in the ability to worship Him. Joy that He rewards us with what we need. Joy that we can have nothing and still be blessed and comforted. Joy that we may not have the things that we think we want but we are at peace and there is joy in our hearts. It is important for us to experience and express joy to God. We have to remember that God does not want us unhappy and toiling away miserably in this world. That is not the expectation. I hear that term daily. What is the expectation? My expectation is for students to...The expectation is...
We know what is expected of us but we show a different behavior. But God continues to hear our praises. Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Shout with joy because God has tested us and saved us. We are loved beyond all comparisons. God loves us. Today we as a community offer meals. Our contribution/sacrifice to you Lord. We feed the multitude. We offer peace and joy. We do this with no expectation from them except the knowledge that someone cared for them today. Thank you God for allowing us to bring your joy here on earth. We praise your holy name. You are King of Kings and Lord of Lord. Glory to Your Name. Father Almighty El-Shaddai, The Great I AM. God does not want us unhappy. We will rejoice in the praises to our KING and Our LORD. Through Jesus Christ, His Son, we are saved and loved. Glory be to God. Thank you for today and I will find joy in today. I will find happiness in all that I do. I will not be a scrooge, sour puss, grumpy grump, not today. Today I will find joy, true joy, in what I do. I will not forget what the Lord has brought me through. God has tested me and and brought me out. Let me remember that I am not where I was a year ago. God continues to test me and I pray that I am found worthy. Today I will find joy in everything that I do. I will praise the Lord and bless his holy name. I will give Glory to you today Lord. Be Blessed today and be a blessing to someone special. I love you and there's not a thing you can do about it. Find your joy today.
My heartfelt desire is to be true and sincere. To love God and to love my fellow man. To show my angst and happiness through words and deeds.
