Getting Priorities Straight

Haggai 1:7-12 

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord. 

“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. 

Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the olive oil and everything else the ground produces, on people and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.” 

Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord. 

Dear Lord, thank you for today. I ask God to show me his priorities for me.  God I want to line up words and actions. We can be very busy during this time of year and forget what is really important. Let us remember the true reason for the season. Thank you God for your loving kindness. I am not forgotten and neither are you. While we are busy being busy, let us build our inner house. What would someone observing us for a week think that our priorities are? Let us love and be loved. God bless you today. 

Today

Thank you God for you Good Shepard. When we feed our people a nice warm meal, they truly appreciate it. My Love has done many things to please the Lord. Thank God for him. Have a blessed and wonderful day. I love you.

The Lord's Return

Thank You God for your blessings. You have forgiven us and we are grateful. Your mercy shows up in our lives again and again. Today my voice will be loving and kind. I will show myself to be a true disciple of God. discipleship cost and I am willing to pay the price. Guide me Lord to your truths. I pray that today is a special day. Our efforts will come before God mighty and you will reward our Shepard. I pray for peace. We are worthy of "God's blessings. I am worthy of God's blessing. What is for me is for me. Honesty characterizes my relationship with God. God keeps me seeking integrity in my relationship. Keep me true and safe. What keeps me coming back when I feel it's harder than I can imagine. My faith in a righteous God.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Faith is what keeps me going. I know God is a miracle worker. God has done it in my life. God has been rich in mercy with me. I have to believe that you are not through with me. You and I are my goal. I am lonely and alone. I cannot dwell on my unhappiness. I want to believe that we still have a chance for a future, but it really doesn't seem that way. Thinking about the grace of God

Acts 13 and 14

Acts of kindness are needed everywhere.

Remain true to the faith. 

I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.

He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in season.

God wants to strengthen you. Encourage you to remain true in faith.

God is my redeemer. Let me not be anxious. Thank you God for all that you do. 

I think that I need to first understand to then be understood

Praying

Thank you God for another day. Thank you for hearing my prayers. Lord keep your watchful eye on me today. Help me to say the things that need to be said and to do the things I need to do. The Promises of God Repeated

Thank you for your blessings. Thank you for your trust. I am repeating this because this sermon helped me this morning. 

The Promises of God are YES and AMEN!
Bring back the remembrances of God's promises. Water the promises. The promise is good but maybe you didn't water the promise.

 Is this the day? Am I stepping out on something that is not going to happen. You must have the faith to confess that it will happen. Water and nurture the confession with faith. When the son of man returns, will he find faith? My hand is the faith that releases into the spiritual and pulls it into the natural.

This is the season of loosing faith. Awake from your sleep. Be ready. You don't know the hour or the day of his return. Stretch you spiritual imagination. God will burst into your life. Jesus has a tendency of bursting into our lives all the time. Jesus will break into your life and interrupt your daily schedule.

Sometimes Jesus is speaking to us and we don't hear him. What leaves do I need to fall off that are stifling my growth. Don't hold on to leaves that will kill you. Let them go. You will die spiritually, emotionally or even physically. Expect new hope, new joy, new peace. What do I need to shake off today?

 Maybe its the leaf of lying, selfishness, consumed with house, job, or a relationship, maybe its anger, wanting punishment for somebody that has kept you in a prison, maybe doubt, questioning, wanting less, living less, just existing.

 Name a leaf to shake off today. doubt, unbelief, low self worth. Shake it off so that I can live and bear the new things in my life. Speak to the depth of my spirit. Promises of God stir up, bring back to remembrance the promises God made over every life in this sanctuary and in our city and our state.

Throw off the old stuff so God can loosen new stuff. Throw it off in the name of Jesus. I shall live and not die. the promises of God are Yes and Amen.

 I am getting ready for a new life. One that God has prepared for me. My life will be fulfilling and loving. I will be mature and responsible. I will feel needed and loved. I will not ignore nor will I be ignored.

 I will do my best, for my God is a healer and knows how to mend my broken heart. When I have doubts about a promised relationship, God will reassure me that its solid.

God will have my back, I can trust God, God will allow me to put my trust in someone else to build a strong relationship together where no one can come in and tear us apart because we are joined together in love and commitment. We trust one another. We have a covenant with each other that we honor and will not break.

We will not be tempted to stray and disrespect one another. We believe that God has joined us together until the end. Divorce is not an option. We will work through our difficulties together. We find strength in each other.

 God is our shield and shelter. together, we are able to succeed. We love one another and care for each other with a gentleness and kindness that is reflected in our daily activities with each other. We are not hurtful and sarcastic and demeaning to one another. We love one another. We are in love with each other. We believe in each other. God has a plan and we are in that plan.

Responding to a Crisis

Joel 1:2-3

Hear this , you elders;listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your fore fathers? Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.

Thank you Lord for today. Thank you for showing me how my inner life is in crisis. Help me to repent. Help me to see hope. Help me to not be selfish and needy. Help me to be thankful. Help me to move foreword. Help me to know that nothing last forever. Reality vs ideals. Dare to dream and dream big. May God bless you today and everyday. I love you.

Relationship Building

Galatians 6:7-10 

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. 

Thank you Lord for today. I'm blessed to have another day. Lord help me to do right by all people, especially the ones I love. Help me to hep you. God is good. Please help me to not become weary in doing good. Help me to keep my mind focused and clear. I love you .

The Nobodies that God Wants

Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.

Thank you Lord for today. I shall bless your holy name. I have learned that if it walks like a duck, talks, like a duck, looks like a duck, smells like a duck, swims like a duck, then it's probably a duck. Trying to dress up the snake oil seller into someone that might do right is just another sham over the people. It brings down your credibility. He's able to fight his own fight. He won, as he has said. Stop drinking the kook-aid. Life will go on, but I will continue to not trust that man and we don't need to bow down to him and help him destroy us. Let him be purposeful. Let him unite the country. He's yet to actually SAY anything, just tweet. His agenda is different from yours. I trust God. Thank you for today Lord. 

Reassurances

Matthew 6:19-24 

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

The Aftermath

Micah 5:1-4 Marshal your troops now, city of troops, for a siege is laid against us. They will strike Israel’s ruler on the cheek with a rod. “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites. He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. 

Thank you Lord for another day. I will bless your holy name. We are in the wait and see game now. It's so futile. A degenerate republican president, a republican congress, so there is nothing that can stop total dehumanization of America. What's done, is done. The rich will flourish and the poor and middle class better buckle up because we are about to be sold poop for dinner. He will be soooo charismatic when he does it that they will believe it's good for them. How disgusting. Well, God has a plan though his timing in my life is always just a little off for me. Galatians 5:13-26 

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. 

Father God I come to you with a very heavy heart. Thank you for the love in my life. Thank you for today. We have been given a very hard blow. America has learned to hate again. This time they have taken it up a notch. Now they are rejoicing in the victory of this hate filled extremist and his following of strong, hateful,white people. What will this look like for us? The people who struggle for justice and equality? It has all the makings of oppression and depression for minorities. I am SHOCKED that she couldn't get enough support from her own white people. I'm wearing black today, I'm in mourning.

The Shepard and His Sheep

John 10:7-10New International Version (NIV)

7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Thank you Father for your faith and trust in your people.  I thank God for giving us such a good Shepard. You are a good Shepard to your people. We love you and need you. My sacrifice is to love you, while you help our people. Let the people come to you and love you. You have changed our lives. I keep you close to me in my thoughts and prayers. I have doubts and fears but it will be alright. I love you. Have a blessed day and be a blessing to someone today.

Rejoice in the Lord

Rejoice, rejoice. Thank you God for today. I have been having dreams that you are in Hawaii, on vacation. I hope if you are that you are relaxing. I dreamed you were at a funeral in shorts and flip flops. Then I dreamed you were on the beach. I don't usually have such vivid dreams. God and my subconscious are speaking to me. I'm just not sure what they are saying. Keep the faith. Stay dedicated to the church and pay tithes. Give of your time, treasures and talents. Keep close to God's word. Be obedient to God's word. Stay with God. Know the difference between God and religion. Keep God in your heart. I love you and pray for you.

God brought me to this passage this morning. I have missed you and I must have channeled that out of my spirit. God is so perceptive. Thank you God for loving me and caring enough to keep me focused. Your will be done in my life today and everyday. I love you and pray that you have a productive day. Take care of yourself. 

Called in Christ

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

The Joy of Growing Up

What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. 

Thank you God for today. Though I have mature responsibilities, I am blessed. My day shall be filled with things to do, but I am blessed. I give God all the Glory and honor today. I call on Abba Father to stay with me today. Hear the prayers of your people. I love you and pray for you to have peace of mind today. God's will be done in our lives. Struggling

Colossians 2:2-5 

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. 

Dear Lord, my goal is to please you. Thank you for another day. I pray that I will do your will. Glory be to God. Thank you for staying with me. You dedication is is heartwarming. You said you would never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you Lord. I love you. I love you. Have a blessed day today and be a blessing. Time is fleeting away. We don't have more, we have less. New day, new challenges. 

Best not a Good Steward

2 Timothy 3:12-17 

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Thank you God for today. I am blessed and I know that. I am tired, today is a field trip to the farm. God will guide us and keep us safe. We will have no problems on our journey. The Power of the King

Thank you God for today. I messed up yesterday. Forgive me. Too busy doing nothing. Picking up my tickets, talking to others, then trying to wait for the line to reduce and just forgetting.once I got to my car, I was supposed to bring the candy back over and I forgot. I just went on my route home. I still have to bring the candy over. Pick up Austin's baptism info. Father God, keep me safe, keep me close. Keep me yearning for what is mine. I will ask for forgiveness each time I mess up. Yesterday was a mess at home and I know the distractions are suppose to keep me away from my destiny but I continue to redirect my self back to the original command. Lord, keep working on me. Fix my plumbing problem once and for all time. We have been going back and forth with this problem. I know this is a distraction for me and I know that God can do all things. Have a blessed day today. I love you and pray for you. 

This is the Day that The Lord Has Made

Thank you Lord for today. Yesterday was not so good. I come home and the cable, Internet and house phone goes out. Stays out all night. I don't even know if it's back on right now. I'm just going to type this a believe that there will be Internet. Today I'm going to breakfast with mom at I hop, then we will do some much needed shopping at  Costco, and then we are going to Nordstroms for an outfit for the gala next week. We have vip tickets and I'm very excited about the whole event. Today, today is all planned out. Get my nails don, go costume shopping for Austin. Thank you God for today. I pray that I will give you all the glory and honor and praise, today. I'm believing in you. I have faith in you. I love you. Be blessed today. Now let's see what happens when I press publish. Keep the Faith. I first started publishing at 7am. It's now almost 9, spent almost an hour on the phone fixing the problems but now all connectivity problems are fixed. Thank you God. 

Another Day Towards My Goal

Thank you Lord for today. I pray for the hopeless. Those who feel lost and alone. God is my Shepard and I shall not want for anything. I can remember that the Lord fights my battles. God will restore what was lost. My hope and my faith lie with him.  God chose me and I have to remember I am blessed. I don't speak out of superiority, I speak from love. My Love, I speak from my heart. Take what seems to be lost and in ruins and restore it. I won't listen to false accusations. I am restoring my soul. Though is seems like nothing has changed, I know that God is with me, he travels before me and I am closer than I was to my goal. Glory be to God. I love you and go out and conquer the world! In Jesus' name, of course! 

Amos 9

Good Morning

Thank you God for today. I am blessed to have another day. I am tired but here. I rejoice in the Lord. I give thanks for all that has been done for me. My God is truly an awesome God. I believe in his word and I know that I am loved. Thank you God for loving me. I am blessed and highly favored. God is active in my life. I know that evil is all around. I try my my best to receive patience for myself and for my family, my coworkers, and anyone that I might encounter today. Let God's example shine through in my life. Today has been given to me by the Lord and I will make the very best of it that I possibly can. My heart is sincere. My mind is focused. God's will be done in my life. I love you and pray that God will bless us today and every day of our life. 

What God Has for Me is For Me

Thank you God for all that you do for me. God, without you, my life would be unbearable.

2 Corinthians 9:8

And so God is able to make all grace abound to you,so that in all things, at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work.

God shall supply all of my needs. I cast my cares to the Lord. I know my God knows me. I am the apple of his eye. God love me and will not forsake me. The Lord is my strength and my refuge. He is strong when I am weak. Together we walk this journey. Now is the time. Now starts today. Live in the present. Today is not promised. If this is my last then I pray that I am loved and remembered for doing God's Will. Keep me close Lord. I love you.

Day Five of Courage

Glory to God. Lord forgive me for yesterday. I should have treated the sub better. When she asked if her pants were messed up I should have told her yes, instead I said they weren't that bad because I wanted her to relieve me for my prep. She did go home, I didn't get the prep and all is better with her but I should have told her the truth instead of telling her it wasn't that bad. I was thinking only of myself and my needs. I will do better. It's not just about me. The woman was in distress and I played that very wrong. Forgive me Lord for my selfishness. 

Acts 8:1

And Saul was there giving approval to his death.

Sometimes we are right in the thick of a a mess. We know what we are doing, and we do it anyway.

Forgive me Lord. I know it's not a huge thing but none the less, it left discomfort for someone else.

Lord help me do better. Thank you for listening. I try not to complain and whine. It's not good. Let's keep our focus on building a better relationship. Let me hear your will. Let me do your way. I love you and pray for you today.

Day Four of Courage

God I just have to thank you again for today. I would love to not wake up so achy, not to complain, just have to keep moving. Thank you God for today. God's word is precious to me. It saved my life. God's word is eternal and can never be destroyed. I will walk in truth. I pray that I am strong and courageous. I love the Lord and I love you. Be blessed today. Be strong in your convictions. Let it be for God's Glory.

Day Three

Dear Lord, bring restoration back into my life. Restore the broken relationships. Restore what seems to be in ruins. Make me better and more aware. I pray for hope in my life and for the lives of those who feel hopeless. I have a student who just lost his mother, his father died a few years ago so now he has no parents. Give him hope for his future.

Amos 9:11

In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be

Please have mercy on us and show favor. We live for your glory Lord. I love you and think we have purpose. What God has for me is for me. I need you in my life. Have a blessed day.

Day Two of Fourteen

Luke 18:27

Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

Thank you God. We are not striking. Glory be to God. Level heads have prevailed. Thank you God for remembering those who are considered insignificant and disposable. Together we can make a difference for our children. Work with me Lord. Change me and use me for your glory. Thank you for hearing our prayers. I love you and bless your daily activities. There is still hope for us. God has not forgotten us.

Is it Today

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you God for your blessings. I am believing that my blessing will come. I am listening to yesterday's sermon while grading papers. I'm focused on declaring is this the day Lord? Is this the day? Yes Lord, I say yes to your will.

Day 1 of 14

Thank you God for loving me. I believe that God can use everyone. Even me. Your are a blessing in my life and I do not take any interaction with you for granted. I squeezed your hand just a little bit more to remind myself that I don't have this opportunity often and I want to remember it. I'm believing God for a change. I know it will happen. I keep my heart true and focused on God's will. God must see something in me that I don't see in myself. I will be the best that I can be. I love you and pray for relationship that is strong and supportive of each other. I am trying to be specific and determined. My love to you today and everyday.

Pray for Favor

Thank you God for your favor

Habakkuk 3:16-18 

I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 

I will be joyful in The Lord. I pray for God's mercy on our land and our people. God hears the prayers of his people. I thank God for caring enough to save me. We have a lot of stress coming down on us. We are under siege and there seems to be no end in sight. Will there be a strike or won't it. Is there some eleventh hour miracle that is going to happen? Two sides exerting their power and we are in the middle. Lord, remember to have mercy on us. Remember to keep us near your heart. Show kindness and mercy. Strengthen us for whatever is to come. What happens must be for the Glory of God. It annoys me to no end that we are this close, yet so far away. Where do I stand with you? Have we stopped trying and we are just going along with the world? Do we still have choices to make? Are we stuck forever? Where are our options? I pray that you are blessed today and I love you very much.  

Exercising Authority

Romans 13:7-8

Give everyone what you owe him; if you owe taxes, pay taxes, if revenue, then revenue;if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing  debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law.

Thank you for your grace and mercy. Lord you have given us amazing grace. Respect for our fellow man. Do what is right, show integrity in my walk here on earth. Believe that God cares and will watch over every situation. We continue to draw closer to this foolish strike. The is so unfair to the students and teachers. They wouldn't treat the police or fire departments like this, but a bunch of mostly women get treated to stressful, unnessary, pointless, futile, degrading, interactions.where's the respect? What a waste of time. They need to pay up and do the right thing. Show honor. Lord, watch over us as we go through our journey. I love you.

Trust in God

Trust in God and lean not to my own understanding. I trust you God. I thank you. Make me more pliable to your words. Help me to help others. Help me to see the needs of others. I know you are able to make me sensitive to the needs of others and help me to gently lead them towards the right steps that lead to you. Help me to communicate that I care and am able to see the pain of others even though I am unhappy and in pain. Have a blessed day and be a blessing to someone. I love you.

Thank God for 100 years

That was a wonderful day. The service was rich in history. The presentations were wonderful. I'm so glad that I am a part of your organization. I would hate missing this miraculous event. This is a time when we need something positive and strong to succeed. I hate that I wore the wrong shoes. I missed my hug. I love you and hope that you have a very productive day of peace. 

Professional Developmeny

Thank you for the consideration of just reading anything that I write about. I humble myself because last night, I couldn't get to sleep so I watched frontline where they compared the two presidential candidates. Trump just infuriates me. Finding out that his mentors were the McCarthy era witch hunters is just so crazy. How and why is this extreme racist, fascist able to get such a strong hold on our country? The pendulum is swinging back to the right and not that I want it to the far left, but let's try and balance it. Knowing that our country has made so many promises to black people and not come through with the talk. People are people. All people matter but some would rather step on you than to help you or even just be fair to you. It's about who can I get over on. Trump is treating the people like chumps. Win or lose, he has made an impact and I don't see him going away. We are going to find ourselves going back to a more divisive society. We will hate more and blame more. Is Hill the best choice, well right now she is the only choice. I'm at a PD today and the speaker is boring. Have a blessed day.

Unity against Divisiveness

Ephesians 4:14-16 

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. 

Thank you Lord for today. You didn't have to give it but you did. Help us to not be deceived by people who are liars. Help us to show our maturity. We are not fooled by the craftiness and cunning ability of those who want to deceive us. Spiritual maturity is necessary. We are not impressed by talk alone. Repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it true. Thank you Lord for your gifts. Together we build ourselves up in love. Love will allow us to do our part as we work together. Together in love we can help one another. Have a wonderful, blessed, productive day. Keep your spirits up and know that you are loved very much. I love you.

God's Grace is Enough

2 Corinthians 12:9

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore,

I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I am thankful that God has found grace to give me another day. Challenges and problems come but God's grace is sufficient. Calming my anxious heart is a challenge for me. Don't doubt. Trust in God to do what needs to be done. I have a thankful heart and a giving heart. My weaknesses I give over to God. I pray for strength training in my struggling areas. Imagine Your Day

Revelation 22:5

They will need no light or lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Imagine a life where our needs are met, we are in perfect relationship and there is no discourse. Harmony of our mind, spirit and body.

Perfect peace. While still here on earth I will stress on the things that will keep me in union with God. I am not perfect and this world is not perfect either, but I will continue to try and do what is right, speak the truth and trust in God. The Gentle Grace of God

Isaiah 30:18

The Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.

Lord I do not put you on the back burner. I care what you think and what you have commanded. My relationship is at the top of my priorities. I do not take you for granted. You are special to me and I desire to be close to you daily. Who am I to tell you what to do. I know that you would never harm, you are there to help. I give you my love freely. A Sure and Certain Promise

Thank you God for today. Whatever it may bring, I'm ready.

Rebuke and Judgment

Thank you Lord for today. As in Hebrews, the Lord disciplines those he loves. I guess he really loves me. Thank you Lord for the blessings even when I didn't know they were blessings at the time. I know that you love me and that's what matters.keep me safe and do not forsake me. I pray that you have a blessed day today. I love you.

I am Never Alone

Hebrews 13:5

I will never leave you nor forsake you.

I thank God for his blessings. The will of God takes me where his grace can keep me. I must trust in God. I will not be anxious or afraid. Lord I pray for my students. One of them is missing. Had I not called the mom yesterday wondering why her daughter was not in school I never would have known. Dad picked her up from school on Thursday and they haven't been seen since.  Keep her safe Lord, keep her safe. We have to pray for each other. I just surround you with a hedge of protection, be blessed today and know that you are loved very much. Thank you God for watching over me. Be blessed and be a blessing to someone. I love you.

I'm on the Menu

Dear God, I'm on the menu at the lion's club. I still have water issues at home. Now we have to have the line looked at inside and out. There must be a blockage. What's that going to cost! There's the doctor today, I pray I have no changes. Then off to school, so far this year hasn't been too bad, just that I have no books. I have my grade book being watched. My class is on notice, I have to put together all of the materials. What a hassle that's been so far. But still, I rise. Thank you Maya Angelou. Put the challenges in God's hand and together we can go through. I put our relationship in God's hand. Together we can go to the next level. I can make a difference with my life. This is not how it will end. I praise God for giving me another chance. I'm ready for change in my life. Every September is a new beginning. I love you and pray for you. Where's our new beginning, together we can make a change for our relationship. I'm going to pray on that. God Bless you today, stay steady, be firm and know that you are loved dearly. This too shall pass.

Working Together

Daniel 6:3-4 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. 

Praise God that we can work together. Don't let strife, jealousy and any other chachter flaw lead us astray. Praise God we can come to him with our concerns. 

My house problems need your attention Lord. Let the replacement of the sump pump be all that is needed.

Lord don't let the teachers strike, that's not what we want, but I know it will happen no matter what because they don't feel as if they are being respected. Hear our pleas Lord God. 

Fix me Lord. Help me find my way. Guide me. Keep me near you. Thank you for your blessings. God bless you today. Be safe and know that you are loved very much.

Don't Worry

LuKe 12:22-26 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Thank you Lord for your blessings. You woke me this morning. I'm believing in your will in my life. I have nothing but love for you. You forgive my sins, you love me unconditionally. I will walk with you forever.i love you and need you greatly.

Facing Opposition

Thank you Lord for today. Opposition comes everyday. My lord and my savior I will put my trust in you. There are times when we don't feel courageous. Times when it is very difficult to not question and doubt, but I will allow God to come to me in the midst of my fears and stretch out his vision of how truly powerful he really is. He has me in the palm of his hand. I love you and pray for you daily.

Contentment

1 Timothy 6:6

Be content with the things that we have. Pray for those who are needy and without family. See the need in the world and face it honestly. My class is full of needy children. It will prove to be an interesting school year. I can't believe the summer is over. I can't believe that I'm so terrible at this relationship. Here we are closer and closer to a beautiful future together and I'm like this. My priorities need aligning. I need aligning. I will not begin the day in desperation. There is hope for me and I will not give up on me. I lock you and pray for a wonderful day for you today. Be safe and be blessed.

Worries and Anxieties

Praise God today. I woke up at 4:24am with you on my mind. Glory be to God. That's your prayer time. I'm blessed to be on your mind. Thank you God for your blessing. I'm always nervous on the first day. You show me that if I just have faith. Faith that everything will be alright. No matter what comes my way, God is with me. I invite him in. I pray that I never give up this challenge before me. There must be a day, a time, a place where this will stop and my prayers are answered. Together, we are better. I can't dwell on the past. Love Must Be Sincere

Unity

Father God I ask that you bring unity. Unity to my church, to my job, to my home. I pray that there is unity in all aspects of my life. I need you to be a part of my day to day life. Not absent or abstract. Today is the first day of a new school year and I pray for protection for our children and our staff. God, protect us from the evil one. Keep our minds on you. Never Give Up

I don't know what the problem was but for the past two days I have thought I posted an entry and I didn't. I wrote an entry each day but it never posted. I saw that the one from the day before didn't post so I tried to post it. Thought it went through and then found out this evening that it didn't. I don't think of it as chance so I'm wondering what the problem is. Was I negative, was I not on the subject, did I hurt your feelings, Lord knows I want to know. So I'm sitting here at football practice, thinking about you and I decide to check what I wrote this morning. I decided to use yesterday's post and then I see nothing posted. Now the post seems outdated. Let's start from  where we are now. This is the year of yes for me. I'm saying yes to everything, within reason.from August to August. Yes, yes, yes. It's possible, and it can be done. I'm excited about tomorrow. I can't wait to see you. I love you.

You are the Key

Thank You God for another chance. Forgive me Lord for all of my mistakes. Forgive me for ignoring the help that is from God. I humble my self to you. Forgive me for thinking I had the ability to help myself through these difficult times. I need heavenly help in these difficult times. I must let go. Let God catch me. Practice trusting God. I know he can do it. Am I running the good race? I pray that God will help me stay on track. I pray that I am not cutting in on someone els and keeping them from obeying the truth. I ask God to help me be both a good runner and a good companion. I don't want to steer you off  track. I love you and trust that you are on track. We were called to be free, to serve one another in love. To love our neighbor as ourselves. I pray I am not buying into the religion of women are bad and the downfall of good men. I want to believe women are good and the jewel of his life. It's like Aretha Franklin said, you are the key to my peace of mind, you make me feel like a natural woman. When I'm in your presence, all things are possible. I love you and pray for you daily.

Galatians 5:6

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Galatians 5:7-10, 13-15 

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 

Football Practice

Thank you God for all that you do. I came out earlier to help pass out flyers but it was raining so I stopped and got an umbrella, because I didn't have one in he car. Drove by the rectory and there was no one out front but two young people. I went to catholic charities and dropped of a donation and then went home. I thought I had missed you guys. Then I see you waited for the storm to pass and then went out. I suppose I should have gotten out of he car, my loss. Then I came home, went to see a movie and now I am at football practice with my grandson. I hope the block party is going well. I'm sure it is. The weather is nice now, not too hot, not too cold.god is good. I pray that he will have mercy on me and show kindness. When you are outside and the breeze is blowing on your face, you can appreciate God's majesty with nature. Be Blessed and continue to be a blessing. I love you.

That's So Sweet

Praise God. You are so thoughtful. I'm not asking for anything. My bills are paid, I will survive with the support of my daughter. Then I'm back, supporting them. Not really, we help each other out.  I am budgeted cash wise. I stay torn about paying tithes with a credit card. I haven't done it yet, but I'm considering it. I just feel like tithes are what I earn. If I ain't earning then I pay from what I have cash available. I'm not as bad as some. I will be fine. What are we doing talking about money like an old married couple? I'll be fine. Some folks are way worse off than me and some are better off than me. I'm not the worse nor am am I the best. I thank God for my blessings. I have a job to go to, a roof over my head, my health, etc. this is just temporary. I have to adjust my attitude. Lots of people are worse off than me and you know that. My complaining seems so meaningless when I put it in perspective. My heart is full just knowing you want to help. Thank you for your concern and thoughtfulness. You are the best. Be blessed and know that you are loved very much.

I Want You In My Life

There is no doubt about it, being around you is better than not being around you. I miss you and think of you all the time. There's a true connection. Why can't I make this better? I love you and really wonder why we aren't together. I'm not stuck on an ex or devastated from a previous relationship. There's no one else and still this is an elusive relationship. I wonder often if you are interested or just being nice. I think we are committed to the single life but would love the idea of being a couple. Together is better than alone in most instances. Thank you for your love. I love you and hope that we find our way to each other. I am preparing to return to school and that always becomes very emotional for me.we received our last paycheck the second week in July and don't get another one until September 23 so that keeps all the teachers and staff on edge. Why we can't get a year round paycheck, I don't know. Budgeting for eight to ten weeks of no paycheck is annoying. I know we should save but it just doesn't work out like that. You never seem to be able to save enough then you are living of of credit cards until you get a check again. I hate the thought that I am the only one. It seems such a long time since I have shared my thoughts and feelings. Be blessed. I love You.

The Shepard and his Sheep

John 10:7-10 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 

I thank God for giving me a good Shepard to follow. I have to be very thankful to enter into your fold. You protect us. You comfort us and you love us. You challenge us to be our best. I'm so proud to be able to say I love you. I love how much you care for me and I care for you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers strengthens me. You do very good works. Your heart is true. I love you and will continue to pray for us. Be blessed today and be a blessing to someone special. 

Wonderful Sermon

Thank you for such a wonderful, thought provoking sermon. You are a blessing to us all. Whatever the situation, thank God you are there for some insight. I love that you are so thoughtful and respectful. Your actions say, try me, see if my words are not the truth, take me at my word. You keep me grounded with hope and faith. Your heart is in the right place. It's hard to fight for people who do more harm to themselves than to others. It's like having a tiger walk into a room, my son in law gave this comparison. When a place person walks into a room the tension level goes up. It's the same tension as a tiger walking into a room. You can tell us that it won't harm you but your senses are still on high alert. You never quite trust that tiger not to harm you or your family. It can never be seen as anything more than a dangerous animal. Even if a few people are able to maneuver around the tiger without harm, there is still apprehension and limits set on the tiger's freedom and access while around other people. How do we get people to stop seeing us as that tiger, how do we stop acting like that tiger? We can change. Hurting each other can stop. It's  not all but the few are making it so difficult for the many. We can do this. I have to have the faith that it can be done. 

Jonah 1:1-2

The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: Go to the great city of of Ninevah and preach against it, because it's wickedness has come up before me.

When we don't want to do it, but God wants us to do it. Stay strong, keep the faith, we can overcome this obstacle. I will not receive the word and do nothing because of fear. I will thank God for what he is doing in my life. I'm still here to keep trying and so I will, I love you and love your commitment. I still have faith in change happening for all of us. Life can and will get better. I love you, be blessed today and every day.

I will take my time

I read tomorrow and I'm going to tell you again that I love you. When you come to give the readers their hug, I'm going to tell you that I love you. I don't have many opportunities to interact with you and this is a prime opportunity to just reinforce my love. Today was so busy, but I with you. Blessed be the name of the Lord. I peeled from the sun, I stayed out there forever. So I'm watching the Wimbledon final, and I already know that Serena wins and gets her 22 title. She missed it three times over but she got it this time. If she can do it, do can I . Ebbs and flows come and go, but in the end, we are winners.god bless winners.

Two Wrongs do not make a Right

My Love, My Love, we have to build a new temple. Our bodies are our temple and we have to renew our minds and bodies. We can't keep thinking that violence is ok. Nobody, nobody, has the right to take lives just to take them. We don't get to judge. It's not right what the police did, but it's not right what they did to the police in Dallas. We need change from within. This only helps to reinforce taking authority and using violence in any situation where they feel threatened just because they are black. I have faith, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Not all police are bad, but a large number are very skeptical of blacks in general and just afraid of black men specifically. The first thing is to shoot. We have to find a better solution. Desperation will make people do desperate things. The hate meter is rising in our country. The election has a lot to do with that. You have candidates that need to show strength, but not be aggressive and bullying. That just didn't happen. Hate, fear and just brute power are the actions that are sought out. It's like they need to hurt others in order to feel good about themselves. Dear God, help us to love, love, love. I love you and pray that you continue to have the focus and drive to keep doing what you are doing. I love you.

Hope

People of Hope

Luke 1:47

My soul glorifies the Lord and my Spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant

I pray that I am forgiving of everyone who has done me harm. I don't want to carry the burden of hate. I may not be able to do it quickly, but I want to do it. I want to be mindful of my Lord and Savior. I pray that God will watch over our community. Forgive us for our sins and help us so that we can help ourselves and not hurt ourselves. God, we need a miracle to stop the constant violence against each other. Lord, help us to not see each other as the enemy. We need to see hope. This violence has to stop. We have to ask God for his forgiveness and mercy. We can do better. We will do better. We have to believe that it will get better. I know love can conquer all. We just have to remember that God loves us and we have his forgiveness and mercy, we just have to ask for it. Lord help us to remember to care for one another. See us as people. Worthy of life. We have to respect one another. I love you and know that you have forgiveness in your heart. You will see this crisis through. God loves you, I love you, and the community loves you. We have to be strong. 

The Black Women's Curse

I just realized that our curse is relying on ourselves to fo everything. I have yo rely on someone else to take care of me. I couldn't do that without always having a backup for myself. I have to trust you to take care of me. God knows if I am trusting in you completely. I have to believe you are protecting me and that you love me. I have faith that this is good. This will work. I am good. I will make this work. I can do better. I have to trust you, without a doubt. Dear God, what were you thinking. I can do this. It's possible. It can be done. It will be done. Thank God for everything. Forgive those who have disappointed me and trust again. I can do this. Thank you God.

Treat people the way you want to be treated

That is what I took away from today. Forgive the ones who have hurt you. Release the pain and the you will find relief. I have released the pain and forgiven anyone who have ever hurt me. I don't want to stay stuck in a place that is not content for me. I connect with you and I find that you connect with me. I can say I love you and believe that you say you love me. I'm not sure why we are not in a better togetherness state but we are circling the perimeter. We have been doing this for too long in my book but I will not give up. Never give up. I know love will conquer all. I love you and there has to be a solution. You are a smart man, figure this out. Make it work. Do what you do best. Help people who are hurt and lost. For what ever reason, God gave you this task with me. Help me get to you. I need you. I know I'm worth it, I just have to get over this hump. Let's do this. I can do it. I can move forward, I just need some help. I'm not on any drugs other than heart medicine, I have not been smoking anything, or drinking to excess, or anything that is creating a mind altering state. I'm just stuck. So today, I forgive me, I forgive you, and I forgive anyone else who has hurt me with or without my consent. I have been my own worse enemy sometimes. I know we can make this work, somehow, someway, I need you and I am not ashamed to say it. I love you and pray that you can help me. May God bless us and keep us on his radar. Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Hope for the Future

Isaiah 12:1-3 

In that day you will say: “I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.   

My Love, I hope for a future filled with you. I wake up happy. I'm reassured that no matter what, you are with me in Spirit and Truth. The world may be changing, but you are consistent. Thank you for your steady hand in my life. I pray daily that you are with me. I trust you with my life. Thank you Lord for everything. I love you very much. 

The Need to Give

2 Corinthians 8:8

I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Today is finally here. Thank you Lord. Giving of myself and surviving. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. Mentally and physically. I have the summer to recoup. Give of myself to others.giving can be hard. Let's go and make this work. Be blessed, I love you very much.

Wise Words

Proverbs 10:22-25

The blessing of the Lord bring wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.

A fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding delights in wisdom.

What the wicked dreads will overtake him; what the righteous desire will be granted.

When the storm has swept by , the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.

I thank God for those people in my life who have nourished me with good words. I pray that I have nourished others with good words. I pray that my words will be wise and comforting today. I pray that I will be able to say just the right thing for those who need a word from me. I love you and pray for you daily.

Coming Together

What a glorious day today will be. End of the school year March. Adults and children can unite to show solidarity to curb the violence in our city. God hears our prayers and they will come before him.

Why

Psalm 62:8

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

Why show me things that I no longer have access to? Why allow me to realize things that I have missed? Is it to help me see what I have missed and then to regret missing these things? Would I have been better off not knowing and just staying in blissful ignorance ? Hope is so important. Don't give up hope. It's not over until the fat lady sings. Missed opportunities do not always spell out the end. Trust in God. A new opportunity is just around the corner. Keep moving forward. Things don't always make sense but I will keep the faith. Faith, hope and love, but the greatest is love.

Caring

Caring for one another can be costly. 

John 15:18-21 

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. 

It's amazing that we have been chosen to do God's will. Together we will make a difference. The peace of our community relies on never giving up. If love is there for Christ, then love is there for you. You have seen miracles and know that without God, where would we be. I ask God to soften our hearts. Don't harden them. Let love be present in our relationship. Don't let it whither away. Keep hate out of our hearts. We are chosen for God's mission. Today is going to be a good day. Be blessed and know that you are loved.

Illumination

Luke 11:33-36 

"No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.” 

Let my light shine today. What will I see today? What will impact my heart and soul? What will my eyes view that will give me an opportunity to contemplate my future? Keep me healthy. Keep me learning and sharing. Never do I want to take anything for granted. Life is too short. My love and peace to you. Have a blessed day and may all of your prayers be answered today.

Stay Steady

There are more for us than against us. Stay steady. Have faith. Be obedient. God loves you. All things work together for those who love the Lord.

Peace

I'm concerned when I see you upset. I don't like for you to have so many burdens to carry. I know you are used to it but it is such a very hard job. You are a very strong man, faithful and thoughtful. You carry the weight of the world on your shoulders sometimes. I have hated that I have added to your stress. I pray that God will hear my prayer and help me remove all of the stress, hate, fear, doubt and any other emotion that I am not aware of that might be hindering me. I forgive anyone who has hurt me. I want to be free of hate in my heart. Maybe that is why I have walls blocking my success. I don't want to have fear of letting someone into my heart, I don't want to fear having it broken. I can't write the future, the future is now. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring, let alone the next hour. I call you my friend and believe that you are out to help and love me, not hurt me. I don't believe that you are indifferent to me. I matter to you as much as others do. I'm working through my own issues and I am not happy to cause you stress. I don't want to think that I don't matter because you matter to me and I want to believe that I matter to you. I am a friend to you and you are one to me. At the very least, we care.

James 1:19-21 

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

Thank you Lord for your blessing. I wake up blessed that I am here. I realize that things have been done to help me. I really didn't put two and two together. I'm just not that smart. I can help others but not good at helping myself. I've got to get better at that. Thank you for putting people in my life who help me, even when I can't see it at that moment. Thank you. Dear God, do I have what it takes?  Try not to worry about everything. Find contentment in your daily life. I am working and striving to do my best with what I have to work with. I don't think I am making a big issue out of a minor problem. Today will be a better day for me, I pray. Understanding how to flow with the decisions made will help me stay calm. Our Choices

Mark 8:34-38 

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” 

I am not ashamed of our God. I pray for my student's family. Her mother died of a sudden heart attack. That must be very hard for a child to understand. Now her life story is my mom died when I was in fourth grade. I pray that she is comforted during this hard time. I pray for all the children who have lost a parent in their youth. God is good. May God be their strength. I hope for a better understanding of people. If time has moved you on the May God bless you. I know that new people come into our lives all the time. If you have a heart that longs for someone else, someone who has filled your void, then so be it. I am happy for you and will always remember that I once had a chance but messed it up. God is faithful and will see me through. I search for the truth in my heart and mind. My soul is searching for our Lord. I'm not perfect, I'm only human and practical. My fault for believing. Be blessed and know that you are loved.

Guard Myself

Malachi 1:2

I have loved you, says the Lord. But you ask, How have you loved us?

Dear Lord, I guard my thoughts and my spirit. I pray that I do not break faith with you . I do not want to offend God. I know waiting can be open-ended and seem forever. I am edgy and restless and irritated. I have a tendency to want to complain and believe that I am being treated unfairly. My behavior during my waiting is just as important as the waiting with grace and compliance. Walking in peace and uprightness. Turning away from sin means I'm not doing what is wrong in God's eyes. Anything that is offensive to him, I will stop doing. I will not bring my mess into the house of the Lord. I don't want to go through the motions and not have a true heart for God. I am willing to take whatever steps necessary to not offend God. I wait to receive his love, again. The audacity to believe that I am God's treasure and there is a blessing for me still there. God bless you today and know that you are loved very much.

I Give Myself

Acts 3:6

Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."

Thank you Lord for waking me up today. I am blessed and highly favored. You are my rock and my salvation. I am yours and will be for the rest of my life. I commit myself to you wholeheartedly. What I have is yours. Whatever I can do for you I will do. I am preparing for a road trip today and I ask for traveling mercies. I ask for a calm route with no agitated drivers around me or my family. Peace throughout this three day journey. Road conditions can be uneventful. Weather can be calm. Thank you for your blessings that we can do this trip together. My mother is healthy now but this will probably be one of the very few trips she will agree to take. She takes care of herself very well right now and is fit as anyone else. Know that I love you and I am in love with you. Now have a blessed day and be a blessing to someone.

I Shall Obey

John 4:23

23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Trust

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And lean not to your own understanding:

In all your ways acknowledge him

And he will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and shun evil.

This will bring health to your body

And nourishment to your bones.

Trusting you makes my faith take a huge leap. Your promises seem far away and unattainable. My understanding is not going to help me, but trusting in you, that will give me comfort. I will be relieved to of worry and wonder because I turn it over to you. Now you have to turn yours over to God. Won't he do it!!! Be blessed and have chance to be a blessing to someone special. Integrity during times of doubt

Psalm 25:4

Show me your ways, O Lord,

Teach me your paths;

Guide me in your truth and teach me, 

For you are God my Savior,

And my hope is in you all day long.

Lord we are in a very difficult time. We need you to help us help each other. We need your guidance. Lord we can reduce the violence but we need people to help people stop hating so much. Invest in our  people. Believe that we can do better and be better. Stop the negativity and promote the positive. Show some love for each other. A smile never hurts. Build up in Faith

Jude 1:20-21

But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in Gos's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Thank you for your mercy. I am not upset about anything. I praise the Lord for every thing in my life. Good and bad. I'm excited about today. Build up my faith today.

Not Ashamed

2 Timothy 1:6-8 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 

Thank you Lord for today. I am not ashamed. Shame is being weak and inadequate. I am not rejected, nor am I imprisoned or facing a dignity crisis. Power, love and self discipline. Those are the gifts that I cherish. God has given me power, love and self discipline. I have choices and will use them wisely. I am not ashamed of you and I hope you are not ashamed of me. I pray that I will share my faith and ask God for help through out my day. I pray that God hears my prayers. Be blessed today and know that you are loved very much.
