Good Morning

Faith, Hope, Love, but the greatest is love, love, love.
OK its off to the Shedd.

Ezekiel 30

A Lament Over Egypt

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:

“‘Wail and say,

“Alas for that day!”

3 For the day is near,

the day of the LORD is near—

a day of clouds,

a time of doom for the nations.

4 A sword will come against Egypt,

and anguish will come upon Cush.[a]

When the slain fall in Egypt,

her wealth will be carried away

and her foundations torn down.

5 Cush and Libya, Lydia and all Arabia, Kub and the people of the covenant land will fall by the sword along with Egypt.

6 “‘This is what the LORD says:

“‘The allies of Egypt will fall

and her proud strength will fail.

From Migdol to Aswan

they will fall by the sword within her,

declares the Sovereign LORD.

7 “‘They will be desolate

among desolate lands,

and their cities will lie

among ruined cities.

8 Then they will know that I am the LORD,

when I set fire to Egypt

and all her helpers are crushed.

9 “‘On that day messengers will go out from me in ships to frighten Cush out of her complacency. Anguish will take hold of them on the day of Egypt’s doom, for it is sure to come.

10 “‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:

“‘I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt

by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

11 He and his army—the most ruthless of nations—

will be brought in to destroy the land.

They will draw their swords against Egypt

and fill the land with the slain.

12 I will dry up the waters of the Nile

and sell the land to an evil nation;

by the hand of foreigners

I will lay waste the land and everything in it.

I the LORD have spoken.

13 “‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:

“‘I will destroy the idols

and put an end to the images in Memphis.

No longer will there be a prince in Egypt,

and I will spread fear throughout the land.

14 I will lay waste Upper Egypt,

set fire to Zoan

and inflict punishment on Thebes.

15 I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,

the stronghold of Egypt,

and wipe out the hordes of Thebes.

16 I will set fire to Egypt;

Pelusium will writhe in agony.

Thebes will be taken by storm;

Memphis will be in constant distress.

17 The young men of Heliopolis and Bubastis

will fall by the sword,

and the cities themselves will go into captivity.

18 Dark will be the day at Tahpanhes

when I break the yoke of Egypt;

there her proud strength will come to an end.

She will be covered with clouds,

and her villages will go into captivity.

19 So I will inflict punishment on Egypt,

and they will know that I am the LORD.’”

Pharaoh’s Arms Are Broken

20 In the eleventh year, in the first month on the seventh day, the word of the LORD came to me: 21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. It has not been bound up to be healed or put in a splint so that it may become strong enough to hold a sword. 22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand. 23 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. 24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man. 25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt. 26 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

The Woman

..."Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge, I'm trying not to lose my head.
It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under."... Grand Master Flash

Good Things--Feeling better mentally --I have a clear head--actually seriously going for the doctorate-- I am taking the time to fix my health problems--Got my refund--generally in OK health, just a few minor problems that will be fixed--After recovery, I can work locally

Not So Good Things--No Salary (but its worth it not to have to put up with the young "heady" girls/women BS)--At home with the women, they are (we are) (I am) struggling to find our roles in the house/commune/prison that we now inhabit--We each have our men folk and have to take care of them-- to some degree we are not the victim, we have chosen this fate, but we just have to figure out how to live it with sanity and self worth for all--six to eight weeks recovery time--what that will really means I will begin to find out on Wednesday--

As I finish this I ask God, show me a message for him, give me a word to give to him. So I pray, get sincere, and open my bible. What's the first place that God sends me, Song of Songs. I consider that to be our love song. So I guess God wants me to send love to you. So love it is that I send to you tonight.

Thank You

I was pleasantly surprised with his talk tonight. He talked about things close to my heart.

I was a mass communications major in Idaho.

I am a teacher and agree that education is no longer a commodity that is valued by my students.

I find the things that they do value to be trivial and insignificant. I continue to ask myself why this will get their attention and not something else. Teachers are expected to be the wizards of information and originality for all students. How unrealistic is that. We alone are to be everything for them. How fair is that. But he handled himself well and gave homage to his ancestry. He was respectful, honest and humble. All good qualities that helped balance the human frailties that we all have.

I am glad he reached out to other blacks, I just wish there was more of that going on. The ones who have money can pool their resources to make more of the things happen that need to happen. We hear a lot of the lone success stories, but few of the collaborations.

Well, time to watch a movie. Good Night. Sleep Tight. Be Blessed, and be a blessing to someone..

Proverbs

What task am I contemplating about putting off until tomorrow?  What should I do now and not later? I ask God to make me a good steward of the time and resources that he has given me. Am I as productive as I should be? Have I used the resources and time that I have been given wisely? Am I the sluggard? Do I dread doing this or am I willing to do the hard in order to have my reward in the end? Do I need to find worth in everything I do? Even if I think its a waste of my time, will I still do it? Does it really matter? Will it make a difference? Do I need to see the worth? Am I laying a foundation for others to come? Help me to lay a foundation Lord for those to come after me. Help me to not only focus on me and what I can get out of it but on what the big picture is. I really am contemplating not going. But God is twisting and turning this in my mind and heart. I bought the ticket. I watch the documentaries, movies,(some of them) Isn't that enough support? Must I also go on the long drive, hope for decent parking, get there early enough to get a good seat, sit for an hour before it b
egins, then hear someone who may or may not even have anything worth while to contribute. Its not a movie, not beginning a movement of consciousness, does he even have clarity in his thoughts when he speaks publicly? All this comes into play when I think about venturing out. I weigh the value of the event. My only reason for attending is to support and see you. Period.

More Sayings of the Wise
An Honest Answer
 23 It's wrong, very wrong,
   to go along with injustice.

 24-25 Whoever whitewashes the wicked
   gets a black mark in the history books,
But whoever exposes the wicked
   will be thanked and rewarded.

 26 An honest answer
   is like a warm hug.

 27 First plant your fields;
   then build your barn.

 28-29 Don't talk about your neighbors behind their backs—
   no slander or gossip, please.
Don't say to anyone, "I'll get back at you for what you did to me.
   I'll make you pay for what you did!"

 30-34 One day I walked by the field of an old lazybones,
   and then passed the vineyard of a lout;
They were overgrown with weeds,
   thick with thistles, all the fences broken down.
I took a long look and pondered what I saw;
   the fields preached me a sermon and I listened:
"A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
   sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
   with poverty as your permanent houseguest!"

Further Wise Sayings of Solomon
The Right Word at the Right Time
 1 There are also these proverbs of Solomon, collected by scribes of Hezekiah, king of Judah.

 2 God delights in concealing things;
   scientists delight in discovering things.

 3 Like the horizons for breadth and the ocean for depth,
   the understanding of a good leader is broad and deep.

 4-5 Remove impurities from the silver
   and the silversmith can craft a fine chalice;
Remove the wicked from leadership
   and authority will be credible and God-honoring.

 6-7 Don't work yourself into the spotlight;
   don't push your way into the place of prominence.
It's better to be promoted to a place of honor
   than face humiliation by being demoted.

 8 Don't jump to conclusions—there may be
   a perfectly good explanation for what you just saw.

 9-10 In the heat of an argument,
   don't betray confidences;
Word is sure to get around,
   and no one will trust you.

 11-12 The right word at the right time
   is like a custom-made piece of jewelry,
And a wise friend's timely reprimand
   is like a gold ring slipped on your finger.

 13 Reliable friends who do what they say
   are like cool drinks in sweltering heat—refreshing!

 14 Like billowing clouds that bring no rain
   is the person who talks big but never produces.

 15 Patient persistence pierces through indifference;
   gentle speech breaks down rigid defenses.
A Person Without Self-Control
 16-17 When you're given a box of candy, don't gulp it all down;
   eat too much chocolate and you'll make yourself sick;
And when you find a friend, don't outwear your welcome;
   show up at all hours and he'll soon get fed up.

 18 Anyone who tells lies against the neighbors
   in court or on the street is a loose cannon.

 19 Trusting a double-crosser when you're in trouble
   is like biting down on an abscessed tooth.

 20 Singing light songs to the heavyhearted
   is like pouring salt in their wounds.

 21-22 If you see your enemy hungry, go buy him lunch;
   if he's thirsty, bring him a drink.
Your generosity will surprise him with goodness,
   and God will look after you.

 23 A north wind brings stormy weather,
   and a gossipy tongue stormy looks.

 24 Better to live alone in a tumbledown shack
   than share a mansion with a nagging spouse.

 25 Like a cool drink of water when you're worn out and weary
   is a letter from a long-lost friend.

 26 A good person who gives in to a bad person
   is a muddied spring, a polluted well.

 27 It's not smart to stuff yourself with sweets,
   nor is glory piled on glory good for you.

When You Know You Did It

Everything is connected and related.

What is God trying to tell me? I have to understand the roles of the players in this drama.

How do I fit in? Am I one of the characters?

Of Course, we all are in one or another of these roles.

We don't mean to do wrong but we do. Then we have to try and fix it.

God lets us know that we are not hiding anything.

He knows all and sees all.

God knows our heart and our mind. 2 Samuel 12

Nathan Rebukes David
 1 The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, 3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.  4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”
 5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this must die! 6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”
 7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. 9 Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’
 11 “This is what the LORD says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. 12 You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’”
 13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.”
   Nathan replied, “The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. 14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the LORD, the son born to you will die.”
 15 After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill. 16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth[b] on the ground. 17 The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them.
 18 On the seventh day the child died. David’s attendants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, “While the child was still living, he wouldn’t listen to us when we spoke to him. How can we now tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate.”
 19 David noticed that his attendants were whispering among themselves, and he realized the child was dead. “Is the child dead?” he asked.
   “Yes,” they replied, “he is dead.”
 20 Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.
 21 His attendants asked him, “Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!”
 22 He answered, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, ‘Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.’ 23 But now that he is dead, why should I go on fasting? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”
 24 Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and made love to her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The LORD loved him; 25 and because the LORD loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.[c]
 26 Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and captured the royal citadel. 27 Joab then sent messengers to David, saying, “I have fought against Rabbah and taken its water supply. 28 Now muster the rest of the troops and besiege the city and capture it. Otherwise I will take the city, and it will be named after me.”
 29 So David mustered the entire army and went to Rabbah, and attacked and captured it. 30 David took the crown from their king’s[d] head, and it was placed on his own head. It weighed a talent[e] of gold, and it was set with precious stones. David took a great quantity of plunder from the city 31 and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes, and he made them work at brickmaking.[f] David did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then he and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.

The World is Experiencing a Democratic Revolution

Is there anyone else who wonders how long this man will be governor? He was just sworn in last month, but its time for him to go or change. Which will it be? I'm sure Republicans are rethinking their alliances. People are not going to trust private corporations to provide medical coverage and retirement benefits when things like Enron, real estate foreclosures, car makers bankrupt,judges allowing private corporations to send the youth to detention centers just to make a profit, people believe that the benefits from the government are better than the corporation. They expect someone to be fair, honest and accountable. All the things private corporations have shown that they are not. Who can we really trust? Who will there for us? We spend our lives taking care of your children, educating them, caring for you on the street, providing protection for you, yet the governor wants to say that the only way to balance the budget is on the backs of the working middle class. Boo. I know this is truly a one term governor, if he last that long. I know they hate the fact that they just swore him in. But that doesnt mean they wont do everything to put him out. How can they continue this kind of chaos. Get rid of that man. He has no real idea how to balance the budget except on the backs of the many. Its blatant OPPRESSION. But then only the oppressed know this.

THANK YOU

You are a true King. I love you for that.

You got the bus company to respond with immediate attention to our needs.

When we drove to the rectory, I didnt see a bus, we were already ten minutes late, we were sure the bus had left us.

We got to the museum and we were the one's who turned out to be early.

So tomorrow, I think I will go see Roots. Its better than sitting here with the crazies.

Then Sunday, I'm a reader.

Saturday, who knows.

Surgery March 2.

Life is good. I'm in a good place about that. I'm ready for it. I want to get better.

Now That the Revolution is Over,Where do we Go from Here...

Western Civilization as we know it owes a lot to the French Revolution.

Liberty, Fraternity, Equality

After watching the History Channel's interpretation of the events, I was intrigued by the irony of events in Egypt and the Middle East. The people are seeking democracy now. They are establishing their need for independence based on the western values that the constitution also based it needs.
Everyone seeks Human Rights.
The rights of every man, woman, and child.
If history is to be an indicator of the future, then lessons can be learned on how the process began and continues to this day.

One thing is sure, the people will be heard. One way or another.

Interestingly enough, the revolution was started by women, who demanded that they have food for their family. As it grew and the Reign of Terror escalated with the use of the guillotine, brute force was the weapon of the day. When we forget that balance must be maintained, extremes become the result. Too much on either side is not good. How to maintain balance, not become the fool, not become the bully. Who gets to measure when it is too much, or not enough?

That's my latest interest. The reasons, methods, and the whys and hows of starting a new republic. How do we really impact a nation?

BE NICE

Spiritual Decay
We know when we or someone else that we love is sinning against the Lord, but we love them so much we turn the other way. We would rather not offend or endanger our relationship with them by challenging them to get right with the Lord. But when we think this then we ourselves have accepted the world's values and not the kingdom values. If a relationship with God is truly what we seek and it is the most important thing in the world, then shouldn't we want to be right with God? Shouldn't we want to help others to come to God? When we don't do this daily we are portraying another message to the world. We are saying that we are more concerned about what other people think than we are about what God thinks. We have to free ourselves from this kind of bondage, or else we become useless to God, ourselves and others. We can not be relied upon to keep the covenant that we all make with God as believers. When our efforts ar biblically directed, when we have truly consulted with God on our decisions, then and only then will we receive and earn respect from God and others will hear God's Word through our actions and deeds. I ask for God's forgiveness today for all of the prideful and selfish things I have done today and in the past. I pray that I can recognize and tell the truth about my sins.

As 1 John 1:8-10 states:
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
Nehemiah 13 shows us breaking the covenant that was established.
Nehemiah 10 shows us establishing that covenant.
Nehemiah was a builder. He was a dreamer. He established, along with the people, a new a wonderful form of government/covenant. He was a forceful leader and innovative orator.
How would you feel if all that you had established was found to be crumbling within a matter of a few years, decades?
Would you be disappointed? Would you blame them for backslidding or would you help to rebuild?
How long did it take for things to go so bad, so quick? Did we even see the backslidding going on? Can we redeem ourselves. Yes. Confess our sins and dedicate our life to loving God, His people and Justice for all.

 28 “The rest of the people—priests, Levites, gatekeepers, musicians, temple servants and all who separated themselves from the neighboring peoples for the sake of the Law of God, together with their wives and all their sons and daughters who are able to understand— 29 all these now join their fellow Israelites the nobles, and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the LORD our Lord.
 30 “We promise not to give our daughters in marriage to the peoples around us or take their daughters for our sons.
 31 “When the neighboring peoples bring merchandise or grain to sell on the Sabbath, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will forgo working the land and will cancel all debts.
 32 “We assume the responsibility for carrying out the commands to give a third of a shekel[b] each year for the service of the house of our God: 33 for the bread set out on the table; for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings; for the offerings on the Sabbaths, at the New Moon feasts and at the appointed festivals; for the holy offerings; for sin offerings[c] to make atonement for Israel; and for all the duties of the house of our God.
 34 “We—the priests, the Levites and the people—have cast lots to determine when each of our families is to bring to the house of our God at set times each year a contribution of wood to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Law.
 35 “We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the LORD each year the firstfruits of our crops and of every fruit tree.
 36 “As it is also written in the Law, we will bring the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests ministering there.
 37 “Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and olive oil. And we will bring a tithe of our crops to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work. 38 A priest descended from Aaron is to accompany the Levites when they receive the tithes, and the Levites are to bring a tenth of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury. 39 The people of Israel, including the Levites, are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine and olive oil to the storerooms, where the articles for the sanctuary and for the ministering priests, the gatekeepers and the musicians are also kept.
   “We will not neglect the house of our God.”

Nehemiah 11

The New Residents of Jerusalem
 1 Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem. The rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten of them to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the remaining nine were to stay in their own towns. 2 The people commended all who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.  3 These are the provincial leaders who settled in Jerusalem (now some Israelites, priests, Levites, temple servants and descendants of Solomon’s servants lived in the towns of Judah, each on their own property in the various towns, 4 while other people from both Judah and Benjamin lived in Jerusalem):
   From the descendants of Judah:
   Athaiah son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, a descendant of Perez; 5 and Maaseiah son of Baruch, the son of Kol-Hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, a descendant of Shelah. 6 The descendants of Perez who lived in Jerusalem totaled 468 men of standing.
 7 From the descendants of Benjamin:
   Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah, 8 and his followers, Gabbai and Sallai—928 men. 9 Joel son of Zikri was their chief officer, and Judah son of Hassenuah was over the New Quarter of the city.
 10 From the priests:
   Jedaiah; the son of Joiarib; Jakin; 11 Seraiah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the official in charge of the house of God, 12 and their associates, who carried on work for the temple—822 men; Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malkijah, 13 and his associates, who were heads of families—242 men; Amashsai son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer, 14 and his[d] associates, who were men of standing—128. Their chief officer was Zabdiel son of Haggedolim.
 15 From the Levites:
   Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni; 16 Shabbethai and Jozabad, two of the heads of the Levites, who had charge of the outside work of the house of God; 17 Mattaniah son of Mika, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, the director who led in thanksgiving and prayer; Bakbukiah, second among his associates; and Abda son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun. 18 The Levites in the holy city totaled 284.
 19 The gatekeepers:
   Akkub, Talmon and their associates, who kept watch at the gates—172 men.
 20 The rest of the Israelites, with the priests and Levites, were in all the towns of Judah, each on their ancestral property.
 21 The temple servants lived on the hill of Ophel, and Ziha and Gishpa were in charge of them.
 22 The chief officer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mika. Uzzi was one of Asaph’s descendants, who were the musicians responsible for the service of the house of God. 23 The musicians were under the king’s orders, which regulated their daily activity.
 24 Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, one of the descendants of Zerah son of Judah, was the king’s agent in all affairs relating to the people.
 25 As for the villages with their fields, some of the people of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its surrounding settlements, in Dibon and its settlements, in Jekabzeel and its villages, 26 in Jeshua, in Moladah, in Beth Pelet, 27 in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its settlements, 28 in Ziklag, in Mekonah and its settlements, 29 in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth, 30 Zanoah, Adullam and their villages, in Lachish and its fields, and in Azekah and its settlements. So they were living all the way from Beersheba to the Valley of Hinnom.
 31 The descendants of the Benjamites from Geba lived in Mikmash, Aija, Bethel and its settlements, 32 in Anathoth, Nob and Ananiah, 33 in Hazor, Ramah and Gittaim, 34 in Hadid, Zeboim and Neballat, 35 in Lod and Ono, and in Ge Harashim.
 36 Some of the divisions of the Levites of Judah settled in Benjamin.

Nehemiah 12

Priests and Levites
 1 These were the priests and Levites who returned with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and with Joshua:    Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
 2 Amariah, Malluk, Hattush,
 3 Shekaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
 4 Iddo, Ginnethon,[e] Abijah,
 5 Mijamin,[f] Moadiah, Bilgah,
 6 Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,
 7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah and Jedaiah.
   These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Joshua.
 8 The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and also Mattaniah, who, together with his associates, was in charge of the songs of thanksgiving. 9 Bakbukiah and Unni, their associates, stood opposite them in the services.
 10 Joshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim the father of Eliashib, Eliashib the father of Joiada, 11 Joiada the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan the father of Jaddua.
 12 In the days of Joiakim, these were the heads of the priestly families:
   of Seraiah’s family, Meraiah;
   of Jeremiah’s, Hananiah;
 13 of Ezra’s, Meshullam;
   of Amariah’s, Jehohanan;
 14 of Malluk’s, Jonathan;
   of Shekaniah’s,[g] Joseph;
 15 of Harim’s, Adna;
   of Meremoth’s,[h] Helkai;
 16 of Iddo’s, Zechariah;
   of Ginnethon’s, Meshullam;
 17 of Abijah’s, Zikri;
   of Miniamin’s and of Moadiah’s, Piltai;
 18 of Bilgah’s, Shammua;
   of Shemaiah’s, Jehonathan;
 19 of Joiarib’s, Mattenai;
   of Jedaiah’s, Uzzi;
 20 of Sallu’s, Kallai;
   of Amok’s, Eber;
 21 of Hilkiah’s, Hashabiah;
   of Jedaiah’s, Nethanel.
 22 The family heads of the Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan and Jaddua, as well as those of the priests, were recorded in the reign of Darius the Persian. 23 The family heads among the descendants of Levi up to the time of Johanan son of Eliashib were recorded in the book of the annals. 24 And the leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their associates, who stood opposite them to give praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, as prescribed by David the man of God.
 25 Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were gatekeepers who guarded the storerooms at the gates. 26 They served in the days of Joiakim son of Joshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law.
Dedication of the Wall of Jerusalem
 27 At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from where they lived and were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate joyfully the dedication with songs of thanksgiving and with the music of cymbals, harps and lyres. 28 The musicians also were brought together from the region around Jerusalem—from the villages of the Netophathites, 29 from Beth Gilgal, and from the area of Geba and Azmaveth, for the musicians had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem. 30 When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall.  31 I had the leaders of Judah go up on top of[i] the wall. I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks. One was to proceed on top of[j] the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate. 32 Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah followed them, 33 along with Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam, 34 Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jeremiah, 35 as well as some priests with trumpets, and also Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaph, 36 and his associates—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah and Hanani—with musical instruments prescribed by David the man of God. Ezra the teacher of the Law led the procession. 37 At the Fountain Gate they continued directly up the steps of the City of David on the ascent to the wall and passed above the site of David’s palace to the Water Gate on the east.
 38 The second choir proceeded in the opposite direction. I followed them on top of[k] the wall, together with half the people—past the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall, 39 over the Gate of Ephraim, the Jeshanah[l] Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate. At the Gate of the Guard they stopped.
 40 The two choirs that gave thanks then took their places in the house of God; so did I, together with half the officials, 41 as well as the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah with their trumpets— 42 and also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkijah, Elam and Ezer. The choirs sang under the direction of Jezrahiah. 43 And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.
 44 At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites. 45 They performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as did also the musicians and gatekeepers, according to the commands of David and his son Solomon. 46 For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there had been directors for the musicians and for the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God. 47 So in the days of Zerubbabel and of Nehemiah, all Israel contributed the daily portions for the musicians and the gatekeepers. They also set aside the portion for the other Levites, and the Levites set aside the portion for the descendants of Aaron.

Nehemiah 13

Nehemiah’s Final Reforms
 1 On that day the Book of Moses was read aloud in the hearing of the people and there it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever be admitted into the assembly of God, 2 because they had not met the Israelites with food and water but had hired Balaam to call a curse down on them. (Our God, however, turned the curse into a blessing.) 3 When the people heard this law, they excluded from Israel all who were of foreign descent.  4 Before this, Eliashib the priest had been put in charge of the storerooms of the house of our God. He was closely associated with Tobiah, 5 and he had provided him with a large room formerly used to store the grain offerings and incense and temple articles, and also the tithes of grain, new wine and olive oil prescribed for the Levites, musicians and gatekeepers, as well as the contributions for the priests.
 6 But while all this was going on, I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had returned to the king. Some time later I asked his permission 7 and came back to Jerusalem. Here I learned about the evil thing Eliashib had done in providing Tobiah a room in the courts of the house of God. 8 I was greatly displeased and threw all Tobiah’s household goods out of the room. 9 I gave orders to purify the rooms, and then I put back into them the equipment of the house of God, with the grain offerings and the incense.
 10 I also learned that the portions assigned to the Levites had not been given to them, and that all the Levites and musicians responsible for the service had gone back to their own fields. 11 So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?” Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts.
 12 All Judah brought the tithes of grain, new wine and olive oil into the storerooms. 13 I put Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and a Levite named Pedaiah in charge of the storerooms and made Hanan son of Zakkur, the son of Mattaniah, their assistant, because they were considered trustworthy. They were made responsible for distributing the supplies to their fellow Levites.
 14 Remember me for this, my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services.
 15 In those days I saw people in Judah treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in grain and loading it on donkeys, together with wine, grapes, figs and all other kinds of loads. And they were bringing all this into Jerusalem on the Sabbath. Therefore I warned them against selling food on that day. 16 People from Tyre who lived in Jerusalem were bringing in fish and all kinds of merchandise and selling them in Jerusalem on the Sabbath to the people of Judah. 17 I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this wicked thing you are doing—desecrating the Sabbath day? 18 Didn’t your ancestors do the same things, so that our God brought all this calamity on us and on this city? Now you are stirring up more wrath against Israel by desecrating the Sabbath.”
 19 When evening shadows fell on the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I ordered the doors to be shut and not opened until the Sabbath was over. I stationed some of my own men at the gates so that no load could be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 Once or twice the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods spent the night outside Jerusalem. 21 But I warned them and said, “Why do you spend the night by the wall? If you do this again, I will arrest you.” From that time on they no longer came on the Sabbath. 22 Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and go and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy.
   Remember me for this also, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love.
 23 Moreover, in those days I saw men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab. 24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or the language of one of the other peoples, and did not know how to speak the language of Judah. 25 I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves. 26 Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women. 27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women?”
 28 One of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. And I drove him away from me.
 29 Remember them, my God, because they defiled the priestly office and the covenant of the priesthood and of the Levites.
 30 So I purified the priests and the Levites of everything foreign, and assigned them duties, each to his own task. 31 I also made provision for contributions of wood at designated times, and for the firstfruits.
   Remember me with favor, my God.

Valentine's Day

This is the day you are either for or against.

If you are for it then you have someone you love, who also loves you.

If you are against it then you join the rank and file of the many who re haters of this day for whatever reason.

I had a love and lost it...
I never have experienced love...
I am in love but, they don't know I am in love with them...
I am in love, he knows I am in love, but we can't  be together...

Take your pick...whichever you are during this time...it always pulls at the heart strings.

LOVE...What's Love Got to do with it....

I like the idea of being in love...knowing someone loves you and you love them. Trusting in Love.

Why would I go to a Valentine Day dance alone? Why would I go to a movie alone? I have done enough on my own, I CAN BE IN A CROWDED ROOM AND STILL FEEL ALONE. I AM WITHOUT A PARTNER WILLING TO BE WITH ME AT THESE EVENTS SO I CHOOSE NOT TO GO ANYMORE BY MYSELF. All I want is to be in your arms in your bed. Since we are telling the truth.

Unpopular Prophecy

Put your favorite plans and goals before the Lord. Ask him to sort out your motives and even change your plans if its his will.

2 Chronicles 18:19:3

2 Chronicles 18

Micaiah Prophesies Against Ahab
 1 Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth and honor, and he allied himself with Ahab by marriage. 2 Some years later he went down to see Ahab in Samaria. Ahab slaughtered many sheep and cattle for him and the people with him and urged him to attack Ramoth Gilead. 3 Ahab king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?”    Jehoshaphat replied, “I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war.” 4 But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the LORD.”
 5 So the king of Israel brought together the prophets—four hundred men—and asked them, “Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I not?”
   “Go,” they answered, “for God will give it into the king’s hand.”
 6 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no longer a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?”
 7 The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, “There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”
   “The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied.
 8 So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, “Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once.”
 9 Dressed in their royal robes, the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor by the entrance of the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets prophesying before them. 10 Now Zedekiah son of Kenaanah had made iron horns, and he declared, “This is what the LORD says: ‘With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.’”
 11 All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. “Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious,” they said, “for the LORD will give it into the king’s hand.”
 12 The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably.”
 13 But Micaiah said, “As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what my God says.”
 14 When he arrived, the king asked him, “Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I not?”
   “Attack and be victorious,” he answered, “for they will be given into your hand.”
 15 The king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?”
 16 Then Micaiah answered, “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the LORD said, ‘These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.’”
 17 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?”
 18 Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing on his right and on his left. 19 And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab king of Israel into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’
   “One suggested this, and another that. 20 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’
   “‘By what means?’ the LORD asked.
 21 “‘I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.
   “‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’
 22 “So now the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.”
 23 Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. “Which way did the spirit from[a] the LORD go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.
 24 Micaiah replied, “You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room.”
 25 The king of Israel then ordered, “Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son, 26 and say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”
 27 Micaiah declared, “If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he added, “Mark my words, all you people!”
Ahab Killed at Ramoth Gilead
 28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. 29 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.  30 Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.” 31 When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, “This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him, 32 for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
 33 But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armor. The king told the chariot driver, “Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I’ve been wounded.” 34 All day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset he died.

2 Chronicles 19

 1 When Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned safely to his palace in Jerusalem, 2 Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “Should you help the wicked and love[b] those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is on you. 3 There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God.”

The Simple

We complicate our lives when we allow someone to love us.
The baggage that we have always presents a huge deterent to people.

We can't change the fact that exposing our imtimate secrets is the job of someone else who can make money off of that fact.

Trophy wife I am not. Fat, overweight, checkered past, my family has lots of secrets that I'm sure they don't want plastered over the internet, newspapers, etc.I don't think you will be impressed or feel flattered by any pictures of me on a beach. Super Model I am not. Willing to do the beauty routine, weight loss, make up daily, of course, anything for you, but is that going to be enough?

My body cannot handle in-depth HD pictures and stuff right now. They will not be pretty.
All of them are absolutely valid reasons to run, not walk the other way.

I think, maybe if I am in a relationship, I might stop smoking.

I truly know that I am experiencing a mini nervous breakdown. Physically, emotionally, financially, I am breaking down. But it doesnt make me weak. I have been at crossroads in my life before. I didn't get to be 52 without going through a little stuff. I'm tougher than you think, but hey , your imagination is always worser than you think, most of the time.

As God says, be as gentle as lambs but strong as lions. I was paraphrasing.

Am I willing to "pretty myself up" so that I am as lovely as the newscasters who are on TV day and night, the ones who are constantly in your face? Can I handle the castor oil truth about what they will say about me and you? I don't know. Can I stand you being around pretty women all the time and not be jealous? I don't know. Who does?

Is it easier for me to be with someone who doesn't require so much from me? But who knows what life like that will be like too.

All I know is that I am in desperate need of a relationship with someone who loves me or at least is willing to take that leap for love. No man is an island and I am tired of standing alone. I need someone who wants to take care of me, love me and spend the rest of their life with me. If it works out then great, if not then at least I know I tried again. I can't just sit here and do nothing feeling the way that I do right now.

I can't honestly say that I am not seduced by you. You intrigue me to no end.  I am in love.

But I can't go another year on my own.

I know you believe I am not ready for your world and life yet. I probably need to go through MLP boot camp, and I feel I have, truly. You know how horrible it has been for you and you don't want it for anyone else, especially someone you love. But just like you found a way to reduce the aggravation with the puppy, people find a way to deal with the distractions in their lives.

This world is real and the people in it are real too. I don't know how much time I have left on this earth. No one has given me a death sentence or anything but I have spent over 20 years alone, I am ready for a relationship, with someone who is ready for one with me.

You have so much going on in your life right now.You are needed by so many who rely on you.  I know this is a bad time for you. Who knew I would be in this emotional state. But then, I don't want you to feel any obligations, you have made no promises, you can continue your sacrifice, you have so much at stake.

I tried a dating service in 2000, yuck.

Havent tried the internet, and won't.

He was from my past, he still loves me enough to want to get married and retire in South Carolina. This I know is real. With you its always a guess,, a hope, a wonder. I know that when he returns to the states, he will come to Chicago, he will want to get together. I will be receptive to his marriage proposal which I know he plans to ask. He's a good man and I know he can provide adequately for me and my family. He is a good, solid man and he is ready, now, for a relationship. He has a good heart.

Proverbs 7
Warning Against the Adulterous Woman
 1 My son, keep my words
   and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and you will live;
   guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers;
   write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
   and to insight, “You are my relative.”
5 They will keep you from the adulterous woman,
   from the wayward woman with her seductive words.  6 At the window of my house
   I looked down through the lattice.
7 I saw among the simple,
   I noticed among the young men,
   a youth who had no sense.
8 He was going down the street near her corner,
   walking along in the direction of her house
9 at twilight, as the day was fading,
   as the dark of night set in.
 10 Then out came a woman to meet him,
   dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.
11 (She is unruly and defiant,
   her feet never stay at home;
12 now in the street, now in the squares,
   at every corner she lurks.)
13 She took hold of him and kissed him
   and with a brazen face she said:
 14 “Today I fulfilled my vows,
   and I have food from my fellowship offering at home.
15 So I came out to meet you;
   I looked for you and have found you!
16 I have covered my bed
   with colored linens from Egypt.
17 I have perfumed my bed
   with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
18 Come, let’s drink deeply of love till morning;
   let’s enjoy ourselves with love!
19 My husband is not at home;
   he has gone on a long journey.
20 He took his purse filled with money
   and will not be home till full moon.”
 21 With persuasive words she led him astray;
   she seduced him with her smooth talk.
22 All at once he followed her
   like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer[a] stepping into a noose[b]
 23 till an arrow pierces his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
   little knowing it will cost him his life.
 24 Now then, my sons, listen to me;
   pay attention to what I say.
25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways
   or stray into her paths.
26 Many are the victims she has brought down;
   her slain are a mighty throng.
27 Her house is a highway to the grave,
   leading down to the chambers of death.

You are the Sunshine of My Life

I have been giddy and excited since this morning's inspirational scripture. I pray that my ability to endure is filled with love and happiness while I know it will be sprinkled with challenges. But nothing that we can't overcome.

Jeremiah 11:20
...O Lord Almighty, you who judge righteously and test the heart and mind...

God brings justice in his time and in his own way. God is faithful. See you later my love.

So It Is You

God does truly love you.

Why would he have me decide to take a leave right now?

My time is my own now.

God knows I am not going back, so I have been planning my time, my life, what to do next.

And look at this. That's a bold move. But then you have always been a very bold man.

So now I am at your disposal. What will you do with my time?

Good Morning Lord

God I seek out your role in my life. I know it can be challenging to have you in control of my life. Letting go and allowing you to take control. Take control over everything. How do you do it? You give me what I ask for and then I don't know how to get it. If it is your influence in my life and not me trying to make something happen, then how do I know? You are King of Kings and Lord of Lord. You are Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. The Lord is There. Ez. 48:35
