Blessings

Thank You God for Children

Who would have known that today would be a day where my child would be the one to come to the rescue, step up to the plate, be there when I need her. I didn't freak out, I stayed calm, I handled my self really well. I think I went through it all last year. This is just a test. Thank You God for preparing me for the test. I think I passed this one. Children can be wonderful when they are helpful, independent and responsible.Today was a good day. How was your day? Be blessed and be a blessing to someone.

Children

Lord dealing with children with special needs can be a challenge. We all have some type of special need that must be met and I am challenged to work with them. Help me to listen to them and develop a good relationship with all of my students. Thank you for giving me the ability to learn how to express my anger appropriately. Thank you for giving me the power to overcome any obstacle today. Lord you give me what I need for today. Allow me to reflect on the good qualities of all of my students today. I am healed in your name.

Ephesians 6:7
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

My Worship

Lord, I praise you this morning. I give you all the glory and the honor. Lord I pray that I am not just an outward empty form of worship. I want my worship to not be just religious practices but true praise and worship for who Jesus is. How can I do what needs to be done for God's kingdom?

Matthew 16:5
Be careful, Jesus said to them. Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Give Praise

Isaiah 25
Praise to the LORD
1 LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.

Lord you are wonderful and marvelous. I will praise your name forever and ever and ever. Today we carry the dream and dreamer back into our remembrance. We honor you Lord by exalting a man who believed in non violence as a way to change a nation. His life was lost but his message remains. We continue to strive toward the mark. Just as we do with Jesus. Lord bless our attempts to honor you through him. We love you Lord. I pray that we can have the dedication some time during the first two weeks of October, so I can attend. Today I will spend time telling my students about Dr. King and reminding them that he was a great man. Be blessed today and be a blessing to someone. I love you.

Be Accepting of Others

Father God, today, allow me to be accepting of others. Let me hear the voice that is new or different. Let me acknowledge that I am justified by faith and that others have a right to an opinion. Let me not forget that I have a voice and an opinion. Thank you God for loving me and giving me discernment about my attitude towards others.

Galatians 2:11-21
11 When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. 13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

14 When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

15 “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[a] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.

19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”[b]

In the Name of Jesus

As I study the word Lord I ask that you walk with me and guide me in this word. Teach me your ways and allow the Holy Spirit to rest in me. Thank you God for all that you do in my life. I thank you for your blessings daily. In spite of all my mistakes you still love me. I grow stronger everyday knowing that you love me. My faith is founded on your word and your kind of love. I give you all the praise and all of the glory.
Ephesians 4:15
15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Thank You Lord

Proverbs 16:7-9

7 When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way,
he causes their enemies to make peace with them.

8 Better a little with righteousness
than much gain with injustice.

9 In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the LORD establishes their steps.

Lord you have answered my prayers. I thank you for providing a way for me. I continue to be challenged in this role but you allow me to stay here and work it out. That's up to me. I will give thank to the Lord because he is good and his mercy does endure forever and ever and ever. Thank You Lord. I love you. Show your blessings and mercy to all those who seek you today. Glory to your name Lord. You are worthy to be praised. Thank You. Be blessed and be a blessing to someone today.

Discipline

Father God I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord of my life. I am set free from habits that held me captive in the name of Jesus. I seek your word and your will in my life Lord. I am strengthen and reinforced with your power by the Holy Spirit. Whatever problems that I have allow me to release them to you Lord. Allow me to do what is necessary to stand against all of the strategies and deceit and spiritual wickedness that involves Satan. Let a calm, cooperative and loving spirit come up us. Let my workplace, home and church receive God's grace. Let us work together to build the kingdom of God here on earth. Help us to help one another with a clean and pure heart. Keep us under your watchful eye and guide us with your will. We love you, we love you, I love you.
Matthew 18:15-20
15 “If your brother or sister[a] sins,[b] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[c] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[d] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

The Right Words

Dear Lord, I ask that you give me the right words to say today. Fill my heart and mind with your will and your words.

I pray that I will not lose heart and grow weary and faint. Lord help me to do the right thing at the right time. Release my courage and strength.

When opportunity opens up for me today, allow me to be aware and mindful of that situation. Let it be pleasing to you God.

Lord I confess that my faith is necessary for all good things to flow. As a believer of your word and a tither who sows generously and with joyful pleasure, Lord, allow me to be a blessing to others.

Your word says we reap what we sow so let me reap blessings, love, and all that is good and pleasing to you. Lord you provide for the smallest of sparrow so I know you can provide for me. Let your will be done in this situation. Lord you provide everything so that we are able to give back to you.

Give, and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.- Luke 6:38

God is Great

I believe that God is all I need.

I have learned that there are lessons in my life that I have to learn in order to please God. I want to know what God wants me to learn. God's way is often times a mystery. I cannot spend my time trying to figure the craziness. I have to have faith that God is guiding me as long as I am diligently seeking him.

I have issues and I clearly wonder why God still wants me. What is wrong with Him to keep coming back to me? Has he not learned that I am fragile, stubborn, inconsistent and constantly seeking forgiveness. I am so imperfect I wonder why anybody would want to deal with the nonsense.

We all have issues. Maybe if I keep messing up, God will just stay away, but I know that God doesn't leave, I'm the one who strays with my doubt, unbelief, sensitivity and indecision. It gets on my nerves so I know its frustrating for Him. I have to remember that I do not have a lot of time to waste. I need a strong leader in my life who will remind me of the truth and keep me focused on the word of God.

When I go to prayer in the morning, I just ask God to guide me to the right passage that is going to help me through the day. Sometimes I dont agree with the passage but I read it anyway. Most of the time its relevant, sometimes its doesnt make sense, but all the time I know there is some message or meaning that I am suppose to get. It may not be the traditional message that goes with the usual interpretation but I try to respect the word at all times. I pray for relevance in my life and meaning beyond the obvious.

I would rather have someone bless me and challenge me spiritually than to just say what they think I want to hear. I don't need a friend that will not be truthful and honest. I need leaders in my life who are willing to lead and recognize that role in my life.

I need to know that I am not alone all of the time in my trials. God is with me. When I have to go through it alone, he is with me in spirit and in truth. Deep roots. When I need someone to be there to go through it God sends someone to be there. God knows my needs very well and will supply all of my needs.

I will trust in the Lord for my daily needs. Even though I am going through trials, I will trust you Lord. I am not complaining, treating anyone bad just because I am going through a trial, not being bitter and mean, telling everyone my problems, stressing my self out because of my troubles, trying to make my problems everyone else's problems. This is just a trial and I pray that I pass. What will be will be. I do my part and let the Lord do his part. No one promised me a rose garden. Man will have troubles.

Thank You God for all that you do for me and for all that you plan to do for me. I take nothing for granted. Every thing is a blessing. I earn and deserve nothing. I am a survivor because of God. It is a gift from God. I thank you for every blessing that I am receiving, have received and will receive. I thank you for your gifts of love, courage and strength.

Deep Personal Crisis

When crisis comes into your life you are driven to prayer. Friday I received very damaging news and I went to prayer. My prayer life has to hold me together. I believe that God will hear my prayers. What wil be will be so I will trust in the Lord for my victory.

Daniel 9:4-11
4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:

“Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, and to all the people of the land.

7 “Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. 8 We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, LORD, because we have sinned against you. 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; 10 we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you.

“Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.

Faithful and Trustworthy

There is a lot of emotion involving the word submit. When you submit to one another you give up something. God saw something in me and God has decided to use me for His Glory. God put something in me so that I can use it for His will. God put something in me.

Instructions for Christian Households
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[b] 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

As I begin my day I will keep God first. Have a blessed day today. Be Blessed and be a blessing to someone.

The Messengers of the King

The Workers Are Few
Matthew 9:35-38
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

As we go through our day we offer the gospel, the good news to people. Some receive it and some don't. We offer our time, treasures and talents, some receive and some don't. When we give of ourselves and people take, just to get what they want, we have to release that and move on, shake the dust. Help those we can help and release those that we can't. Jesus had compassion because he saw the crowds were harassed and helpless. God knows what it feels like to be harassed and helpless. But we are not to worry about what to do or what to say, God is with us and will guide our steps as we relay his message. Be blessed today. Find a blessing to give someone and move on if they are not receptive. Be sincere and loving in all your attempts to spread God's good news.

The Work of The King

Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for you to gain the whole world, yet forfeit your soul? Or what can you give in exchange for your soul?

Lord as I prepare myself for today I ask that we have no surprises. Let the day be productive. Allow the obstacles that come today to be solved. Nothing is to great for God. Lord whatever you have in mind for me allow me to be prepared and ready. I look forward to the challenges of today. I know discipleship cost and I want to be ready. Help prepare me for what I need to do. Keep me alert and cautious. Thank You Lord for your favor. Have a blessed day today.

Yet I Will Rejoice

Habakkuk 3:17-19

New International Version (NIV)
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.

Romans 8:28

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Acts 26:10-19

New International Reader's Version (NIRV)

10 That's just what I was doing in Jerusalem. On the authority of the chief priests, I put many of God's people in prison. I agreed that they should die. 11 I often went from one synagogue to another to have them punished. I tried to force them to speak evil things against Jesus. I hated them so much that I even went to cities in other lands to hurt them.

12 "On one of these journeys I was on my way to Damascus. I had the authority and commission of the chief priests. 13 About noon, King Agrippa, I was on the road. I saw a light coming from heaven. It was brighter than the sun. It was shining around me and my companions. 14 We all fell to the ground. I heard a voice speak to me in the Aramaic language. 'Saul! Saul!' it said. 'Why are you opposing me? It is hard for you to go against what you know is right.'

15 "Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?'

" 'I am Jesus,' the Lord replied. 'I am the one you are opposing. 16 Now get up. Stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you to serve me and be my witness. You will tell others that you have seen me today. You will also tell them that I will show myself to you again.

17 " 'I will save you from your own people and from those who aren't Jews. I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes. I want you to turn them from darkness to light. I want you to turn them from Satan's power to God. I want their sins to be forgiven. They will be forgiven when they believe in me. They will have their place among God's people.'

19 "So then, King Agrippa, I obeyed the vision that appeared from heaven.

Public and Private Life.

What do you do when people you work with watch every little thing you do at work and at home? What is the facination? I'm trying to do my best at work. Come early, leave late. Volunteer for stuff. Still I am challenged to do better. I want to do my best. Not that I don't seem to have my fair share of troubles. Man/woman born of women shall have troubles. But the good news is that it doesn't last forever. Am I on the menu now? How is it that I am scheduled for observations three days out? Is it to trip me up or to know I can do a good job? My laptop computer's getting fixed so it will be out for another week. I finally figured out how to use this ereader android tablet that I got for Christmas. How I have made it this long, since July 26, is amazing. What's expected of me?
