Faith Gives Substance to Hope

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1

Faith Possesses Reality

If I can just touch the hem of his garment...Mark 5:25-28

Words are the carriers of faith.

The world was framed by the word of God Hebrews 11:3

Call things that be not as though they were. Every time I speak my faith I am creating a stronger image of myself. I walk by faith and not by sight.

If I abide in the Lord and keep his word within me then I can ask what I will and it shall be done unto me.

If I can keep his word within me, I I can walk by faith, If I can believe or hope with my faith that I shall receive, then believing and calling for things that are not yet manifested shall be a reality.

Peace in Times of Trouble

We pray and confess that all bitterness, rage, bad temper, resentment, abuse, gossip, spite and ill will, will be released.

We pray that we are helpful and useful to each other.

We pray that we are kind to each other.

We show tenderness and compassion, understanding and a loving heart, forgiving one another readily and freely as our father in Christ forgives us.

I come against the spirit of separation and I renew the spirit of togetherness.

Father God I thank you that you we love one another with the God kind of love, united in total peace and harmony and happiness.

Nothing To Lose

Have you ever been afraid to give yourself totally to the Lord?

Have you ever been afraid to give yourself totally to a Godly cause?

Have you ever been afraid to give yourself to a Godly relationship?

If God be for us then who can be against us?

What do you have to lose if you give yourself over to God?

What does it take of yourself to give more, to care about the other person's feelings, to know that they are hurting and you can possibly help. You don't have to fix everything and everybody but you can help comfort and guide. Don't have a hard heart. Don't live in the past. Prior hurts have no home here. This is a new beginning. A new path. A new life.

We don't look back we move forward. What do we have to lose? What do we miss out on? Some nonsense and foolishness that just sets us back on our journey.

I understand in the abstract, but I have to make it part of, no, I have to make it my life in the concrete. I want to dwell securely, in confident trust, without fear or dread of evil. I allow my ears to be attentive to God's wisdom and my heart and mind to God's understanding. What do I have to lose? Nothing but the devil. Let it loose. Shake it off. Walk with the Lord in the cool of the day. Spend time with God, what will it truly cost you?

Our God is Not Hard of Hearing

Who is really deaf? What do we do when we think that God is not listening. Is it that we don't hear Him and He is talking to us continually? Are we asking the same question over and over and God has already answered our question

Father, I confess that I am a submitted wife, simply because I want to be and I recognize Your authority. I thank You Father God for my husband, who is the head over me, but who has given me the necessary power to do what Your Word say for me to do from Proverbs 31:10-31 I am a loving, submitted, successful woman and wife in the name of Jesus. Thank You for being the Bridegroom of my life. I give you all the glory and the praise. I pray for compatibility and friendship. Comfort and fondness. Genuine liking and wanting to be around each other and wanting to talk to each other. Always longing for more.

I just came here today to be with you

I don't come with the answer, I come with support of friendship.

God wants us to fellowship with Him. He wants to walk with us and talk with us.
He wants to draw near to us.

We do not need to struggle trying to please God in the things that we do, our first calling is to fellowship with God. Just be with God. Just be with you. Just connect with you. I didn't come asking for anything because you already know my needs. I have prayed and pleaded and I know that your word says my needs have been met according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

So I come just to be with you. To listen and to talk to you. Fellowship with me.

Details, Details, Details

Father God we give thanks to your Holy Name. We glorify and magnify you.

I spent most of my afternoon in your home. Glory be to God. I got a beautifully detailed car out of it. I cant wait until I get the car done on the outside. He did a wonderful job.

Jesus stripped Satan of his powers and did it publicly. Our Lord and Savior defeated Satan. All power and authority inn heaven and earth belongs to Him. Righteousness and Truth shall prevail.

Be steadfast, immovable, always abound ding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

We shall not be moved.

Father God Save Us

God's ways are not our ways.
God's dream for our life is much bigger and better.

God, what is going on with our children? How can they just recklessly shoot each other with such disregard for life.

Father God we lift your name up in our hearts and we stand on your word that you are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. We don't know the reason for things that happen but we do know the devil is a liar and we are overcomers.

We shall not be defeated. God is still in control of our lives. We know that we have to stand on the word of God.

Our children will heal. We speak life over them and over the children that committed the crime. Their life is worth something too. We speak life over their families and community.

We shall not be defeated. We will not let a setback keep us down. God gives hope to the hopeless. God lifts the fallen. God has a plan for our life. Don't pity yourself. Don't blame yourself. The devil is busy so you must be keeping God's Word and Promise. Love God and Love Yourself. You are a wonderful person and a wonderful child of God. Stay open to a different path, a new way of doing it, a new dream. Its not over til God says its over and if you are still here, God has a plan. Lets get our fire going. Turn this mess into lemonade.

Its Amazing

You think I will leave and I think you will stay but not be in love.

How do we get it right?

I wont leave for any reason and you wont get bored for any reason. Do we ommit to that and make it work no matter what. Do we say and mean that we are committed, no matter what. Do we agree to make it work on matter what.

Expectations

Sometimes I expect to see you. I don't understand how we are where we are and not talk to each other daily. Interact daily. Know each other, daily. Say good morning and good night, daily. Why is this so. How can you allow it to be as such? It is not me alone that controls the motions of our existence together. Help me, show me the way, guide me, make this happen.

Freedom and Mercy

Put us in right standing.

Shift what needs to be shifted.

What is it that needs to be done?

Cleanse me. Get me ready.

What have I not done? What is it that I need to do?

He who began a good work will be faithful to perform it. I will be faithful to follow it.

Feel the Peace and Release of God flowing.

I cant keep doing the same thing and keep getting the same results. Am I not faithful? Have I not done what you have told me to do? Am I not praying, tithing, worshipping and giving my all to you Lord. I am in place for a miracle. Am I free. Am I free. I am free. I am free.

The Power of Love

What do you do when you are facing a particularly stubborn and difficult problem? A problem that seems to resist all previous efforts to be eradicated.

You put the power of love on it. The power of love is the greatest power in the universe. Put the word of God on the problem. The bible says that God is love so when I release love into the situation then I am releasing God into the situation.

Release love into every situation.

I'm trying to get my self ready for my colonoscopy tomorrow. Clear liquids today, nasty yucky stuff to drink. Lots of bathroom time and then in the morning, off to the hospital so the doctor can put a tv scope in a place that it shouldnt be.

Michael Jackson

You know Michael was an icon for our time.
He and I were the same age, had he reached his birthday this year, which is the same day as my youngest, August 29th.

The Jackson Five were my favorite group when I was growing up. Young black girls could now have a boy band to love that was like them. We didn't like Michael because he was our same age, we liked the older boys, Jermaine and Jackie.

The Jackson Five were our answer to the Osmond's and the Monkees and any other group that was suppose to reach young people.

They sang to the young and I was young. My father took me and my best girlfriend, Dale Brown to see them at the Amphitheatre. We shouted through the entire show. Along with every other girl in that packed place. He said he would never do that again. I know they sang all the songs that we loved so much.

The nuns at my school must have had quite a time trying to control us. They let us make up dances to their songs. ABC, Stop the Love You Save May Be Your Own. We danced and screamed and danced. This was during the civil rights movement where we were trying to find things that were positive to relate to and there was the Jackson Five. We watched their TV show, bought their albums and found them to be the best group for young black girls during the late 60's and 70's.

Even when he made Thriller, it was fresh and new. What he decided to do with his personal life was totally different but his impact on our live in the early days was significant.

Music is always at the heart of any movement.

As I have read some of the text in the Souls of Black folk by DuBois I see that a spiritual is at the beginning of each chapter.

Music is at the soul of the movement.

Tomorrow we will be inundated with the memorial service. Then it will be on VH1, MTV, TV One, and anything else that wants to play the many artist that plan on performing. How we treat our dead is interesting. They have treated him better in death than in life. I don't doubt that he we was a drug abuser and had a very thin grasp on reality but he was still some one's son, brother, father and former husband. He was a human being.

Building Our Bridge

Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Our call is to love others deeply and to offer hospitality and use our gifts to serve others. God doesn't want us to think that any act is too small. We work thinking that no one notices or that our labour is in vain. It is not. It does not go unnoticed.

I Love The Lord...my all time favorite

It doesn't matter that I have a small responsibility that I have to take to the bathroom two or three times during the service. That is my new seat now. We are near the end of some serious potty training and I need to get to the bathroom quickly and then be able to get back to my seat. I like this seat better. I see more of you. Unfortunately, after we went to the back the last time, my little man fell on the steps. He's fine but just shook up.

I am so excited about the boat trip. I loved it the last time. I remember sitting there listening to you and feeling so loved. It was a beautiful morning. I don't remember what you said but I remember being loved.

Church Picnic sounds interesting. I pray the weather is still nice, but it will definitely not be any snow so that's a plus.

Renaissance Park will be lovely. This will be very good summer.

No service for Christ goes unnoticed by Him.

I think one of your biggest challenges is to convince our brothers and sisters to love one another.

Words are the carriers of faith. The world was created through words. Our words create images and eventually we try to live out the reality of that image.
Speak your faith. Create that image of your desire. Through God's word and my continual affirmation and agreement with it Healing, Health and Love are within my reach.

Rest

You know sometimes when you are told to "get some rest" take it easy, you find out that you havent done that for a while and it becomes difficult to do nothing. Relax, get some rest.
